Finding our place

3 years ago, whilst searching for a home with some land in a peaceful setting, we came across this gem in the Parque Natural de Tinença de Benifassà. We almost couldn't believe we had the option to buy it and settle in what we describe as our slice of heaven. Surrounded by forests of kermes and holm oaks mixed with different pine trees, with mountains behind and a view down the valley in front of us, we'd found the perfect retreat. It needed a few things - electricity, running water, plumbing, tiles on the floor and some windows, but we could see the potential and we knew the professionals who could make it happen. Our job would be to make it into a home (and then maintain it, but I know a man for that!)
